Battle Royale genre development (PUBG, Free Fire) is expected to put off but unlikely to end by 2020. India’s new national obsession PUBG will continue its pace. But as an active opponent Free Fire has risen. One central episode in 2020 would be the rise of India’s Hyper Casual games.


Unfortunately, there is still a long way to go for quality Indian content (say a Bahubali type of games investment).


Sport viewing continues to rise in India with more people playing, competing and winning local and international gaming competitions on mobile phones and personal computers.


With Reliance Jio leading the charge with Jio fiber and attempting to cloud gaming, there’s room for some companies to play with innovative cloud gaming ideas.


Some “Super Apps” and entertainment apps in India including Paytm, PhonePe, and Hotstar, among others, have begun some kind of gaming approach that parallels what Alibaba and others have done in China.


Yet preceding would draw more time and tactics.
