The esports platform will also serve as a self-service tournament organizing platform from vivid game communities. However, the Smash.gg team will continue to get the benefit as a part of resources and support from the Microsoft Content Team.

Smash.gg Esports was introduced in 2015 as an online and live event planning site, providing support for the creation and registration of brackets. Earlier this year, Microsoft has shut down Mixer for the failure in drawing audiences as compared to Twitch and YouTube.
