Microsoft Stops 12 Month Xbox Memberships

According to the latest disclosure of the company’s statement to True Achievements, Microsoft has stopped offering 12 month Xbox Live Gold memberships. This led users to go for a one-month and three-month Xbox Live Gold memberships through Microsoft Store.

 

 

However, users can buy 12-month subscriptions from third-party retailers. Live Gold Subscriptions pass to let players access to free game titles, online multiplayer in games, and discounts on purchases.

Why Microsoft Stopped Xbox Live Gold 12 Months Subscriptions?

The reason behind this withdrawal is not yet disclosed but speculations state that it is an effort of the company to shift users to Game Pass Ultimate.

 

 

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the upgraded version and shares the benefits of both Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass. With this pass, players can access to game titles on the very first day of Microsoft releases.

 

 

In the future, this membership service will also include access to project xCloud and operation to expand gaming services with the release of the next-gen console, Xbox Series X.
