Tencent’s PUBG Mobile revenue hits $3 Billion in just 7 months of 2020. According to Sensor Tower, PUBG Mobile and its Chinese variant ‘Game for Peace’ increased $1.3 billion in revenue growth. The game showed a $270 million revenue peak monthly despite the worldwide lockdowns.
Game for Peace on China’s App Store is accounting for most sales from the campaign, gaining $1.6 billion (52% of total) in lifetime player expenditure. However PUBG Mobile and Game for Peace have a combined record of 734 million installs worldwide.
PUBG Mobile Revenue by Month:
PUBG Mobile game is the popular title across the globe and in the last 7 months, it supremely managed to double its lifetime revenue. Interestingly, India holds the top position with the highest installs of 175 million i.e. 24%, followed by China with 16.7% and the US with 6.4% installs.
After PUBG Mobile, Garena Free Fire had the biggest sales this year with over $300 million and Call of Duty: Mobile from Activision with revenue of more than $220 million.
Upon seeing the spike in PUBG Mobile sales, it is proven that this game has marked the beginning of mobile gaming by the transition of popular PC/Console titles.
