Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been reporting of extreme lags within the game’s menu after the latest update.
Online multiplayer games have on several occasions come under the radar and been criticized for one reason or the other. This has been the case for Call of Duty: Warzone, as well, in many instances.
The game has been subject to criticisms from players who have been vocal about their dissatisfaction about the progression or even the balance whenever the developers have introduced new content or updated existing features.
In many occasions, these criticisms seem to arise mostly from the personal preferences of the players rather than any real basis or issues. However, this time the issue seems to be different. Some players of the game are complaining following a recent patch, they have been experiencing massive lags within the game menu. This has been rendering the game completely unplayable for some.
A thread on Reddit has been gaining traction stating that there is some problem in the game’s menu. At the time of writing this article, it was only a small fraction of Call of Duty: Warzone’s massive base of players that are facing the problem. Amongst the ones facing this problem, there are many who state that the problem is so serious that it has made playing the game impossible.
The reason being speculated by the players is the latest patch that was dropped on September 23, 2021. This patch, according to the patch notes, has made many balance changes to the weapons and was primarily focused on adding adjustments to the game’s Iron Trails ’84 game mode. A player even states that following that their high FPS had dropped to a dangerously low 13 FPS, recently.
Recent Patch Suspected Of Creating Massive Lag In Call Of Duty: Warzone
According to the patch notes, there were no changes made to the game’s menus. However, it is highly likely that the changes made to the menus were not mentioned in the patch notes. Nothing more concrete can be said about the issue unless the developers themselves address it themselves.
The developers, Raven Software, are yet to acknowledge the issue of dropping frame rates within the game. And until addressed, players will be left floundering with the extremely low frame rates. Unless a fix is introduced, the game will remain potentially unplayable for several players.
This however, is the unfortunate circumstance that plagues online multiplayer games, where unintentionally things often go wrong. From a technical point of view, Call of Duty: Warzone is massive and equally complex a game. Small changes made to any aspect of the game can significantly impact the complete game that might not have been anticipated by the game.
