Facebook Gaming Press Start will be the first of its kind event, organized by Facebook, for the Indian Gaming Community.
Facebook Gaming has announced that it will be holding its first ever event for the gaming community in India. The event, Facebook Gaming Press Start will be spanning over a period of two days. The company announced that users of the social media platform will be able to sign up for the event for free.
The two days long virtual event will commence on October 19, 2021. Reputed Indian comedian Abish Mattews is set to host the event. Gio Hunt, Facebook’s Vice President of Gaming and Operations, Manohar Hotchandani, Facebook India’s Business Development Director and Ajit Mohan, Facebook India’s Managing Director and Vice President will be making the opening address for the Facebook Gaming Press Start.
As per Facebook, the Facebook Gaming Press Start will provide gamers, creators, video game developer and publishers from India with an opportunity to build their community on the social media platform and grow and monetize their endeavours. The company has stated that this event is another step on the social media giant’s mission of “bringing the world closer together”.
So far, the social media giant has offered its users to create communities and connect with people sharing like minds and interests via its Groups. Facebook allows developers to publish instant games, such as Farmville on its platform. Over the years, the social media platform has also let its users to search for and follow their favourite content creators and watch gaming videos and gaming titles.
The Facebook Gaming Press Start Will Be A Two Day Long Virtual Event
The first day of the event will be focused on video games producers, Augmented Reality and the various gaming communities. Programs for the first day include “Play 101: Facebook Instant Games & Cloud Opportunities”, “Get In-App Ads Right With Audience Network” and “Supercharge Your Game With Facebook Gaming Services”.
For the second day of the event, esports companies, video game publishers and creators will be able to check out sessions by popular gamers. These sessions will be focused on Stories of Diversity, Monetisation, Facebook Gaming Video Programs and Gaming Creator Programs.
We can only hope that the event is just the first of many such events in the future. Events such as this would be greatly elemental in promoting and growing the almost nascent gaming community that exists in India. It is also hoped that these events will help game developers, publishers, creators and gamers get in touch with the who’s who of the community and thereby allowing them to create for themselves new opportunities and dimensions.
