Genshin Impact has been garnering steady popularity ever since its launch in 2020. The reason behind it is not hard to guess. It ranges from an engaging gameplay and exotic sceneries to exciting and surprising updates.

The previous update, 2.0, Inazuma brought to the players several new additions, within the game. This included a festival, fireworks and to top it all off, death by electric shocks and a fight with a God. However, in case you are already bored, remember there is no dull day at Teyvat. And another new update is in the horizon. It is expected that the Genshin Impact 2.1 update will be going live on September 1, 2021.

While beta tests and data mining ensure that the updates and it features are not a complete surprise, there is still a lot to anticipate. Prior to the official launch of this update, miHoYo announced, that it will be holding a live Twitch stream to showcase the highlights of the latest update.

It has been announced that the English Stream for the game will be held simultaneously with the original Chinese livestream that will be held on Bilibili. This has made it easier for streamers who would have to conduct a translated stream of the original Chinese stream. It is hoped that this will also help in increasing the global appeal for the game.

Initially the livestream of the English Genshin Impact was held on YouTube. This happened up till the version 1.6 update. However, the livestream events for the later updates, namely, versions 1.7 and onwards, are being held exclusively only on Twitch. Thus, indicating towards a possible exclusivity clause between the streaming channel, Twitch and publishers for the game, miHoYo.

The event which is anticipated to be a little over an hour long will be held on August 20, 2021. It was tweeted from Genshin Impact’s official Twitter handle that the event will start at 9:00 AM EST. It is expected that the livestream will be revealing the final islands in the Inazuma region, new bosses, new events and most importantly, the fishing system.

Developed and published by miHoYo it is an engaging and immersive action adventure role playing game that takes place in the mythical land of Teyvat. The game is currently available for Android, PC, iOS, PlayStation® 5 and PlayStation® 4. A version for Nintendo Switch is currently in the development phases. The Genshin Impact 2.1 update can be expected for a launch on September 1, 2021.
