Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition has so far been a mess and a disaster.

The much anticipated and greatly awaited Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition released to much ceremony, everywhere, on November 11, 2021. It has now been a week since then and so far, things do not really look that great for the title or for Rockstar Games, as well.

To begin with, Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition remained unplayable on the PC port, for almost two whole days, just a few hours after its release. The issue was since then resolved, however, it is still riddled with a host of different issues.

While Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition did induce a good amount of nostalgia, it however, utterly failed to deliver to the expectations and anticipations of the players. And to be brutally honest, fell flat, face first, on all of them. And you do not need to look further than a taking a quick glance at the title’s reviews on Metacritic.

The PC version of Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition has, at the time of writing this article, a score of 0.5 out of ten, on Metacritic. This score is based on a total of 4614 reviews, with only 145 of the reviews being positive and a paltry 60 reviews being mixed.

It is still early days. However, it still remains to be seen how Rockstar Games redeems itself with the Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, in the coming days with updates and modifications. So far, the mods have been doing an excellent job in getting rid of some of the issues that are currently prevalent.
