Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: Definitive Edition finally announced by Rockstar Games.

For several months now, rumours have been abundant about whether or not Rockstar Games is planning on releasing remasters of the older Grand Theft Auto games. The publishers have now put the rumours to rest by announcing that a remaster is indeed in the works.

This will be the twentieth year since Grand Theft Auto 3 was released for PS2. And to mark this anniversary, Rockstar Games has announced that they will be releasing Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: Definitive Edition, for most of the modern platforms, sometime later this year.

The remasters will have updated graphics and improvements to the original gameplay. However, the company has yet to announce what specifically these new additions and improvements might be.

As per the latest leaks, Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: Definitive Edition is supposed to release some time in November, this year. And if the rumours are indeed true then these details might be released sooner than we might have thought.

The Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: Definitive Edition Is Officially Happening!

The Definitive Edition will be including three of the most popular titles from the franchise. The games included in the package will be Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and finally, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The games will be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. A mobile version is also slated for release sometime in 2022.

It is hoped that the release of the Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy: Definitive Edition will help fans of the franchise to tide over the time till the next gen version of Grand Theft Auto 5 finally makes its debut in March, 2022.

Fans of course are also anticipating the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. And while it is highly likely that the development of the game might be in the works, taking into account the amount of money that Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to rake in, Rockstar Games is yet to make any official announcements for the same.
