New My Hero Academia Free To Play Battle Royale Announced By Bandai Namco- Inner

Gematsu has reported that in a Weekly Shōnen Jump article Bandai Namco will be releasing a new free to play battle royale game, My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble. The game will be based on universe of the massively popular manga turned anime of the same name.

While My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble does not yet have a release date. However, the game will be arriving for PC (via Steam), Xbox One, PlayStation® 4 and Nintendo Switch. Compared to the other battle royale games that are currently available, it seems that this particular game will be a more intimate affair with support for up to twenty four players, in a single match.

As of now, we only know that Bandai Namco is planning to hold a closed beta for the game in the near future. Participation details for the same will be available on the official website of the game, when it launches. We will also be posting updates about the same, when the news releases.

All we can say for now is that it is very difficult to correctly predict the potential quality of the game based on only a handful of snaps from a magazine, despite the source material being so popular, past games based on My Hero Academia have not been received with much oomph. However, here’s to hoping that Ultra Rumble will be different.
