National Esports Championship to Kick-off Tomorrow

Attention gamers! the Esports Federation of India (ESFI), New Delhi, opened the registration portal for the National Esports Championship (NESC) 2021. This year’s edition of the must awaited event will be held from August 6, 2021 to August 22, 2021. Esports enthusiasts from all across the country, who are above eighteen years of age, are eligible to enter the championships this year.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country, the tournament, like the last year’s edition, will be held virtually. The players this year will get a chance to compete in games like PES 2020, Tekken7 and DOTA2 along with the headlining main event where players battle it out for glory in CS: GO. The winners of the championships will get a chance to represent India at the global level, in the 13th Esports World Championships organized by the International Esports Federation (IESF).

While esports as an industry as well as a sport is gaining traction, it is still comparatively new. Events and championships like the National Esports Championships create opportunities for those looking to leave their mark by competing professionally.
