Paris Games Week which was scheduled for October 2020 is canceled over Coronavirus pandemic fears. This event was expected to host more than 3,00,000 visitors at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and the most breaking report is that this year is the tenth-anniversary event of Paris Games Week.
As we all know a huge number of gaming events have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and some of the events and gaming platforms have also moved to digital platforms as well such as E3, Game Developers Conference, Gamescom, and more.
PGW event cancellation is definitely not a big surprise but it was scheduled for 23-27th October of this year and cancelling the event this early depicts the severity of the situation and anything like huge gatherings can turn to more harm.
Therefore, the officials released the full statement on how hard it is to call off from event as this year is also going to mark their 10th anniversary as well. The main reason for cancellation is the complexity they might face logistically and technically to go ahead with this event in the current scenario.
According to the sources, this year there were several game releases that were also lined up but now everything turned to vain. Now, officials are looking for next year’s edition with much more fun and excitement.
We are hoping that Paris Games Week will come back with much more promising events and game updates in 2021.
