People line up to buy video games outside EB Games

A long queue has formed outside EB Games on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto centre. As people are waiting to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ and’ Doom.’


EB Games revealed that, in an effort to encourage social distancing, they would only allow 10 customers into the store at a time.


Many fans of games said that they were waiting for this game since a very long time and were anxious for its arrival. Media reporters and residents also shared videos of long queue outside of EB stores. The company’s decision to keep the stores open was criticized by many corporate associates and higher level officials.



However after so much displeasure, the company announced a statement on its official website that they are working diligently to provide safest environment possible.
