Indian Developers ‘PlaySimple’ Has Been Acquired by MTG for an Initial $360 Million!

Recently, one of the top Indian word game developers PlaySimple have been fully acquired by MTG. MTG are Swedish digital entertainment company who have been looking out to expand it’s gaming business. MTG’s recent deals include ‘Bloons’ developers Ninja Kiwi and ‘F1 Manager’ creator Hutch Games as well.

PlaySimple is an Indian gaming company based in Bangalore which has over 200 full-time employees. Their recent game ‘Word Trip’ has over 5,000,000+ installs with 4.6 rating on Google Play Store. The company has created nine titles and has four new games in their future prospect. Currently, the company has 75 million installs and 7 million monthly active users. They have also been offered to earn upto $150 million in performance based earn-out payments if they are able to meet targets by MTG.
