The founder and CEO of TeamSoloMid (TSM), Andy ‘Reginald’ Dinh, is being investigated by Riot Games, amidst allegations of workplace misconduct and verbal bullying.
Following the accusations, Riot Games has launched an investigation. TSM competes in the League of Legends Championship Series that is operated by Riot Games. The investigation into Dinh’s behaviour had been launched late last year. Alongside this investigation, TSM is also conducting its own investigation of the accusations.
Twenty nine year old Andy Dinh, better known in the gaming circle, by his gaming handle ‘Reginald’ had founded TSM in 2009. Originally a pro gamer, he was the captain of the TSM for four years, before he then transitioned to his present role in management.
All of this could however be in jeopardy following reports that Dinh has been under investigation by both TSM as well as Riot Games for his abusive workplace conduct. This was shortly after Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng, a former player at TSM called Dinh out during a live stream on Twitch.

“He’s like a bully who gets away with being a bad person because he’s powerful and because people are afraid to stand up to him, and that’s what I’m sick of”, Peng says about Dinh, during this live stream. Further adding that, “I’m sick of someone who’s basically just a bully getting away with it because it’s in everyone’s best interest to not get in his way.”
Similar complaints about Dinh’s “mental abuse” were then echoed to WIRED by several former as well as current employees at TSM. WIRED reports that over a dozen people have reported to the North American Players Association about Dinh’s misconduct. The group have forwarded these complaints to Riot Games.
In an email to WIRED, Riot Games said that, “We are aware of the allegations made about the CEO/owner of TSM”. Adding that, “As the league operator, we have engaged the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP to conduct an independent investigation into claims of misconduct made against the leader of this team, in accordance with standard league process.”
However, citing the safeguarding of the ongoing investigation process, both Riot Games and TSM remained tightlipped on the specific allegations that have been brought against Dinh.
In a statement to dot.LA, TSM has said that, “Immediately upon learning of these allegations, TSM and its Board of Directors, with Andy’s full support, created an independent subcommittee, enlisted the services of outside legal counsel, and hired an independent investigator to conduct a robust investigation.” The team further added that, Dinh has “recused himself from any oversight of the scope, nature, and conclusions of the investigation.” TSM further added that both the team and Dinh are “fully cooperating” with Riot Games‘ investigation, as well.

Dinh in his statement said, “I set an extremely high bar, and when I feel that someone is not delivering, I directly and bluntly share that feedback.” Further going on to say that, “I do acknowledge that when I look back, my vocabulary was at times too harsh and ineffective. I know I need to work on my delivery, and I am working to improve the way I communicate with my team and those around me. I support and am fully cooperating with the independent investigations that are already underway and will gladly embrace any recommendations from the investigators.”
