A new Wonder Woman video game was announced at The Game Awards 2021, last night/morning (depending on where you viewed the event from).

The Game Awards 2021 was a night of celebration of the year that has gone by, in games and more. Bringing together the best from the gaming world at one place, this year’s ceremony was perhaps more special, seeing how everyone in attendance, was present “in-person”, after over a year.

The night of the awards was, as usual, studded with the winners lifting trophies, amazing performances, explosive announcements and a whole lot of surprises. One such surprise, was the revealing of a brand new Wonder Woman video game.

The teaser trailer revealed at The Game Awards 2021 slowly reveals Wonder Woman herself as she wields her iconic Lasso of Truth along with a voice over. Not much has been revealed about the game except for the fact that it is being developed by Monolith Games.

Monolith Games is a subsidiary studio of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and has been responsible for games like The Matrix Online, F.E.A.R., Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and others.

This game would be Wonder Woman’s first ever standalone title. Earlier, she has appeared in several games which include DC Universe Online. The game is currently under development and since no gameplay was released, we can only wonder and speculate how the game pans out. With this game, Wonder Woman will be joining the two other members of the DC Power Trio, namely, Batman and Superman, by starring in her own video game title.
