PUBG Ban: PUBG Corp. Pulled-off Chinese Publisher Tencent Games to Avoid Ban in India

Last week, the ministry of information and technology of India have banned PUBG Mobile and other 118 mobile applications which included some other games namely, Clash of Kings and Mobile Legends. The PUBG ban was done due to the increasing national security concerns of public data and the high tensions created in the India China borders.


There were also speculations that the user’s data was transferred to servers located outside the country in an unauthorized manner. As a result, within no time the mobile game application was removed from the Google Play Store in India.

PUBG Ban: The partnership of PUBG Corp. with Tencent

The PUBG Corporation is originally a South Korea based company called Krafton Game Union which partnered with the Chinese Publisher Tencent Games for PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite two years ago.

But as the Indian Government has removed this battle-royale mobile game from the play stores the company very swiftly decided to pull-off Chinese publisher Tencent Games to avoid PUBG Ban in India. However, the partnership will be remained normal outside India.


Interestingly, India had the largest number of mobile PUBG players worldwide until last week it suddenly walked away causing a huge outbreak for the company.

PUBG Ban-Spawn Point

From now on, it is decided by the company that all the publishing acts for PUBG Mobile in India will be carried out by the in-house team and that they will soon bring new community events including esports events and activities for the Indian players.


PUBG Corporation on Monday stated that the gaming company stand by the Indian government for PUBG Ban with their concern towards Indian users and will work together to ensure a solution for the die-hard fans of the battle-royale game while respecting Indian laws.


However, the Indian government has still not made any declaration about this move by the company as all the organizations, gamers, and live streamers of India associated with this game are hoping to get any relief from this move.
