Yesterday, PlayStation came forward with a 20-minute of exclusive gameplay content of Horizon Forbidden West. Nearly after 11 months of the first showcase of this game, this video was released. This game is a sequel to one of PlayStation’s biggest hits, ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ which was released back in 2017 and was ported on PC later. The showcase was scheduled during the ‘State of Play’ where we were expected to see a 14-minute of brand new in-game action.
Developed by Guerrilla Games, Horizon Forbidden West is a continuation of journey of the main protagonist, ‘Aloy’. In the 14-minute gameplay reveal, Aloy is encountering group of raider named Tenakth tribe who captivated her friend ‘Erend’. In the gameplay trailer, viewers are blessed with Aloy ‘in action’ using tools such as new grappling hook, breathing mask and glider to easily navigate the ruins and rubble of the coastal environments, as well as two new weapons to take down a mammoth-like Tremortusk.
And in an update, Ben McCaw, who is narrative director said “we don’t have an exact release date yet, but development is on track and we’ll have an update for you very soon”.
However, the expected timeline for this game to release is in late 2021 on PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5.
