Thanks to recent development optimizations made by the developer Epic, Fortnite on PC shrank drastically from more than 90 GB to just under 30 GB.

The information was posted on Twitter, the official account of the game, it means that the royal hit is now taking up even less room on your computer drive.

Before the release of the Fortnite upgrade note, PC players need to download a larger than average patch but now a decrease in the total file size has taken place. But now, just one-third of the size of the game has to be downloaded by players.

The patch also configures the game to boost loading efficiency and to allow smaller patches down the road, which speeds up the time required to upgrade Fortnite to play.
