Announced back in ‘The Game Awards 2020’, Back 4 Blood has released a new trailer revealing it’s new card system. Published by Warner Bros and Developed by Turtle Rock Studio, Back 4 Blood is a spiritual successor of Left 4 Dead. New trailer revealed the game’s new card system which is a new rogue-lite feature that enhances your experience with each playthrough, ensuring every gameplay session is dynamic, intense and feels unique”. To simplify, the player cam select default card decks or is free to explore a range of customisation option.

The game’s brief states, In Back 4 Blood, the Game Director monitors your actions, health, and choices. The Game Director then responds accordingly by changing environmental conditions, adding obstacles, and unleashing special Ridden mutations through Card System modifiers known as Corruption Cards. You can change up the gameplay by utilizing specific cards to strategize against the Game Director, from amplifying equipment to reloading weapons.

Back 4 Blood is co-op FPS team-based zombie-slaying  game. The storyline is set in after a catastrophic outbreak, where most of humanity has either been killed or infected. A group of veterans known as the “cleaners” come together to take on the “parasite infected horrors known as the Ridden to take back what is left in the world.”  Alongside, the developers responded after an FAQ stating, “you’ll be able to shoot up a lot of zombies like in Left 4 Dead, but there’s a whole lot of new stuff in Back 4 Blood which makes it unique.”

Back 4 Blood is set to release on 12th October 2021 on Playstation®5, Playstation®4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.
