Konami’s eFootball 2022 kicks off on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
On September 30, 2021, eFootball 2022 will be available on all digital storefronts. Implying that the game’s release will be a day before EA’s FIFA 22 hits the stands. FIFA 22 releases on October 1, 2021.
The game will be a rebranded version of Konami’s PES, also known as Pro Evolution Soccer. With eFootball 2022, the company promises that it has reinvented the game’s model and the graphics engine as well. The game will be free-to-play.
Fans of the sports video games genre, especially lovers of football have always praised the model of PES. In comparison to FIFA many claim that PES had a better overall gameplay. It, therefore, remains to be seen if the game lives up to the expectations of the players.

Here are a few things that players can expect from the upcoming game. In terms of teams, compared to FIFA’s choice of offerings eFootball 2022 will initially only feature eight official teams, on September 30, 2021.
The company however, intends to extend the choice of teams that they have to offer. The lineups of the teams in eFootball 2022 will also be significantly less stellar, as compared to FIFA, initially. So will be the choice of the stadia.
Players will have the option to choose from the following six arenas:
Old Trafford (Manchester United)
Emirates Stadium (Arsenal)
Camp Nou (F. C. Barcelona)
Allianz Stadium (Juventus)
Allianz Arena (F. C. Bayern Munich)

The cross-platform play for the game is expected to arrive within September to November. This will enable players to compete with each other irrespective of the device that they are playing on.
Players choosing to play the game on their mobile devices will also be receiving controller support via an update. This will enable them to play against those who are playing on their consoles or their PCs. This update is expected to arrive sometime within December to March.
