After a recent acquisition of Bethesda by Microsoft for $7.5bn, Elders Scroll Online developers ZeniMax Online Studios are introducing a new in-game currency which players can spend in loot boxes. This update will be featured in upcoming games’ update (Update 30) arriving on mid-June 2021.

The new Endeavors System in Elder Scrolls Online is a free addition to the base game which all players can have access to. Endeavors are new daily and weekly tasks which when completed will reward you with gold or experience.  The new currency introduced is called ‘Seals of Endeavor’. With Seals of Endeavor, players can but any available Crown Crates (Loot Boxes) which contains potions, XP Scrolls, pets, cosmetics and rare ‘Radiant Apex’ mounts items in the game. Regardless to say, there will be a limit on how many Endeavors you can complete in a day or week.

In a recent interview with Rich Lambert, Creative Director at ZeniMax Online Studios with Eurogamer termed Endeavor System as ‘really exciting’ and said;

“We thought this was a very good add to the game because it fits our overall mantra of, players can have an in-game equivalent, or an in-game way to access anything that we sell in the Crown Store.”

“Items in loot boxes can always be earned through play. All items available through paid loot boxes in our games will also be available through unpaid opportunity by gameplay (i.e. grinding).”

Currently, Elder Scroll Online is available on PC, Ps®4, Stadia and Xbox One. With it’s coming update, it will also be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS®5 in June 2021.
