After a number Forza Horizon 4 players flagged that their game is not running after the update, Forza Support reacted quickly and are now working on an update. There were a lot of reddit users which found that after update the latest Forza Horizon 4’s update, which was of 7 GB, it’s breaking the game. This issue was found on Xbox Series X and S
Slowly, many Forza subreddit (r/FORZA) players who recently updates got this bug and it didn’t take time to figure out that the issue is with new update. The bug interrupts with your Xbox which turns black screen and shuts down automatically. However, Forza support was quick enough to react and gave out few steps to avoid deleting your progress, which may be a possibility. Also, they gave out a work-around for this issue until the next update is pushed.
Here is what Forza 4 support twitter said:
- “We’re aware of a crash impacting Series X and Series S players in the latest Forza Horizon4 update,”
- “We’re working on a fix and will update when we have an ETA.”
- “The current workaround is to take your console offline, launch the game, then re-enable online via the Xbox Series X/S dashboard,” it said. “DO NOT attempt these steps if you’ve already deleted your local save. This will cause you to lose your progress and start the game from scratch.”
- “The team is currently working on a fix and hoping to have an update by tomorrow [Friday]. We thank you for your patience.”
