Heading up to the launch of FIFA 22, EA Sports has been teasing us with trailers and gameplay videos. However, the first ever official gameplay trailer with a breakdown of what the gameplay entails and its more distinct features was dropped a few hours back. And it has us in a tizzy in anticipation of the game, now more than ever.
Revealed to be one of the biggest changes in the gameplay, here is a quick breakdown on all that we can look forward to in EA Sports’ latest offering in FIFA 22. The trailer opens with the mention of one term which catches our attention and keeps it captured for the next three minutes and ten seconds. This buzzworthy term being Hypermotion. A quick elaboration on what this is that EA is pushing for so much. Basically, Hypermotion is a higher and better quality of animation. It is based on tracking and studying the movements, emotions and gestures of several professional footballers, over an extended duration of time, using Machine Learning.
Other points of interest in the gameplay breakdown trailer were the mention of player emotions, defensive AI, and physical battles, all aimed at making FIFA 22 more realistic and humanized. However, there just wasn’t enough footage to back these claims up. Twitter has been abuzz with discussions over the new trailer video. There have also been several users posting leaked videos of the gameplay. One such was Twiteratti going by @DonkTrading revealed a goal celebration snippet. The video clearly showed the manager joining in on the celebrations. Football lovers, witnessing Arsène Wenger’s knee slide celebration, in the game, might be written in our future.
