PUBG Lite was a lighter and much faster version of PUBG as the developers intended it to target lower-end PC’s and Mobile Devices. PUBG Lite was released in early 2019’s which was also free-to-play.
Recently, developers of PUBG informed the players that after much deliberation, PUBG lite will be shutting down along with it’s services. They also issued a termination schedule which stated that from March 30th, new downloads will not be available and alongside, PUBG Lite’s website will also be closed. April 29th will be the end of service and from May 29th , player support will be closed.
Developers of PUBG, Krafton, said:
“We are deeply grateful for the passion and support from the astounding number of PUBG LITE fans that have been with us. During the strenuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that PUBG LITE was able to provide our fans a fun way to stay safe.
Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close service after much deliberation and the time has come for our journey to end. We regretfully inform you that service of PUBG LITE is scheduled to end on April 29th, 2021 (UTC).”
