Xbox turns twenty this November 15.

It will be twenty years since the first Xbox controller was released on November 15, 2001. And Microsoft has some big plans to mark the day.

To mark this event, Microsoft will be launching a couple of accessories that are translucent. This includes a wired headset and a wireless translucent controller. These will be launching on November 15, 2021, however, pre orders for the same are live now.

As per Microsoft, the controller’s translucent look will be a throwback to the translucent controllers that used to be shipped with the original Xbox debug kits. The components on the controller will be coloured silver in order to make the translucence more prominent through the casing.

In addition to that, the controllers will be sporting splashes of the brand’s signature green on the rear grips, the Xbox home button as well as the region around the D-pad. Internally, however, the controller will be the same model that the company ships with the Series X|S consoles. These will have Bluetooth support that will allow the users to connect them with PCs and/or mobile devices.

As for the wired stereo headset, it too will be getting a translucent get-up, but on a much smaller scale. The headsets will be having see-through ear cups and on the left ear cup will have a green twentieth anniversary marking on it. The headset will also have bright green accents on the microphone as well as on the grilles that are present between its cups and ear pads.

The translucent controllers are available for pre order on Amazon as well as on the Microsoft Store. They have been priced at $ 69.99. As for the wired headset, it too is available for pre order on Amazon as well as on the Microsoft Store. They have been priced at $ 69.99, as well. This is $ 10 more than the price of the standard edition headsets.
