Senior Producer of Double Fine, Kevin Johnson recently tweeted sharing some exciting news about Psychonauts 2. He said that the game has been made with ‘no crunch’, that means the team did not have to extensive overtime to reach it’s scheduled date of release. There have been a lot of controversies over crunch time and underpaid employees in Game Development industry, but Developers Double Fine were proud to do it without.
“Fun fact: Psychonauts 2 has had no crunch, the team has been amazing and I’m proud to have been a part of something so special that’s been made in the schedule we set forth. I think you’ll have fun too”, Kevin tweeted.
The game was announced back in 2015 at The Game Awards 2015 ceremony and now has a release date of 25th August 2021. Psychonauts gameplay has a similar gameplay to it’s predecessor where players control , the protagonist who has powerful psychic abilities. Players can user powers such as telekinesis, pyrokinesis and levitation while exploring their world.
It is set to launch on PC, PlayStation®4 , Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
